Built
in 1867 by General James B. Weaver, the striking two-story,
brick home was Iowa's 12th national landmark, added to the
National Register of Historic Places in 1975. Sitting
on the upstairs porch sipping a cup of tea, it's easy to
close your eyes and imagine the sound of a horse-drawn carriages
pulling up, filled with men in top hats and women with parasols.
